Company Values



Environment plays an important role at Greyhound Box, where we recognise our responsibility to protect the planet. We are committed to reduce the impact our Company has on the environment by achieving the sustainability goals set up by the Management team. We are an ISO14001 accredited company who are passionately working on the Environmental Management system improvements, ensuring annual objectives and targets are met.


Staff Wellbeing

We heavily invest in our staff, our most important asset to Greyhound Box. Our wellbeing strategy focuses on creating a safe and positive environment based on trust and sharing the Company values. We aim to increase mental health awareness and reduce the stigma around it. Complying with ISO45001 and IIP requirements assists in further development of our Wellbeing Programme.



Through the effective implementation of our integrated management system and teamwork, we aim to meet customers’ expectations and be recognised for the commitment to quality in everything the company delivers. We comply with the ISO9001 requirements which assist in achieving annual quality goals.


Innovation & Development

A very distinctive approach to innovation and continuous improvements provides a differentiating factor. We seek to help customers successfully achieve their goals through effective product design and quality packaging solutions. Our continuous improvement is driven through sharing ideas, staff development and a focus on productivity improvements in every area of the business. Through operational efficiencies, we have created a value delivery system that understands, delivers and leads change within the business.

Our history



Greyhound Box was created in 1991 and given the name on the idea of supplying ‘Quality at Speed’, a primary attribute of a Greyhound. A USP that we still identify with today.


Site Relocation

We moved to our Hunslet site in 2001 from our original base in Stanningley.


Investors in People

First achieved in 2003 and continually recognise that what makes our organisation special is our people.


ISO 9001

First achieved in 2003, delivering a quality service and product is very important to us and equally to have the systems in place to enable this.


Major Factory Upgrade

Investing in 2 new machines allowed us to expand our factory capability and meant we could now offer printed and diecut work.


ISO 14001

First achieved in 2012, we are constantly looking at how our operations affect the environment and do all we can to continually improve and have a positive impact on this through our processes.



The business went through a management buyout, where the then current General Manager, Louise O’Brien bought the business.



We launched Greyham the Robox to show our creative side and support the promotion of our brand.


Integrated Software Upgrade

We recognised our software at the time was not running the company as effectively as we wished. It took 2 years of going back-to-basics, training and working with the developers and is now used to run the business and drive us forward.


New Machinery Investment

In 2016, we invested in a new printing machine and has allowed us to produce a higher quality product in a faster time.


Business Improvement Training

The whole business went through an NVQ course, which shortly after starting became a critical driver to further improve efficiencies within the business and propelled us forward. It has allowed us to truly understand what we do and the knowledge to continue the improvements.


Investors in People

We achieved the 6th Generation standard 14 years after the first achievement. We chose to pursue this standard to further connect our staff to the business and to the journey of Greyhound Box and what we are trying to achieve.



We became members of the Sedex Organisation, which has driven ethical and sustainable improvements throughout our supply chains and promotes us trade in a responsible way.


ISO 9001 & 14001

We achieved the new standard to both accreditations 15 and 6 years after the first achievements respectively.


New Vehicle Investment

We procured 2 new vehicles as part of our continued commitment to the protection of the environment and ISO 14001. These vehicles featured Euro-6 engines, which was particularly important with the introduction of the Clean Air Charging Zones in areas such as Leeds.


ISO 45001

We achieved this standard for the first time, which relates to occupational health & safety, something we take very seriously and do everything possible to reduce risks of. We also use this to analyse our suppliers as well as ourselves.
