Kids get creative with cardboard!

160x110_exact-wetherby.jpegGreyhound Box & Packaging has been quick off the mark to do its bit for supporting the community and has launched a competition amongst the Leeds' children to find the most inventive use of a cardboard box!

From TVs, to rockets, to robots, to rabbits, it's amazing what can be crafted out of cardboard. The Leeds-based business is always keen to back the work of community organisations to get kids away from the telly, to do something active.

The company supplied boxes as free materials for an arts and crafts day at Wetherby Leisure Centre, as well as for a Seacroft based Surestart project, amongst many others.

Kids from the ages of 5-7 can now enjoy interacting with each other and demonstrating their artistic capabilities as they glue, glitter, colour and cut, until there's not a box left in sight.

The Manager at Wetherby Leisure Centre said: "This was a really great opportunity for the kids to get of the house and not only do something active, but something engaging too. They had great fun and it's so refreshing to see kids enjoying the simple things that we used to enjoy!"

"It's a brilliant idea for the school holidays! The materials provided by Greyhound were greatly appreciated, it really is great to see local business giving something back to the community."

Prizes were handed out for the best designs.
